Since 1984, we have always chosen to do things the right way — making quality products, keeping our word, and building long-term relationships with every partner.
Understanding what customers needed, what good grain looked like, and what it meant to be reliable.
In 1984, Satish Shah, Vinod Shah, and Arun Shah had spent more than 20 years buying and selling sugar, grains and flour. Then they made a big decision — to stop trading and start making. Not to get big quickly, but to make something people could always count on.
They started in a small 1,300 sq. ft. shed in Shirwal, making the first batches of besan under what would become Ganesh Dal & Besan Mill. The space was small. The standards were not.
From day one, one thing was clear:
Quality would not be inspected at the end — it would be built into the process. The founding principle, 1984
Over the years, the business expanded into a multi-facility operation across Maharashtra — each unit designed not merely for output, but for precision and reliability.
Yet, across locations and product lines, one principle remains unchanged:
Consistency is non-negotiable.
Every bag we ship is made the same way. No shortcuts. No surprises. Our customers know exactly what they're getting every time.
We don't take the easy route if it means lower quality later. Doing things properly isn't optional for us — it's just how we work.
We don't just want to make a sale — we want to build a real, long-term relationship. Many of our suppliers and customers have been with us for decades.
No shortcuts. No compromises.
Good quality speaks for itself — and our customers notice it every time.
This is still a family business — and that means something. Every decision is made carefully. Every product is made with pride. Because what goes out the door has the family's name on it.
You can see it in the small things — the careful sourcing, the thorough checks, the consistent results.
Over the years, we've built strong bonds with our farmers, our distributors, and our buyers — not just because of the product, but because we always show up and do what we said we would.
"We don't just do business with people. We build friendships that last for decades."
Today we mill over 60,000 tonnes a year — and we're still growing. But we've never made size our goal. In an industry where many players cut corners to be cheaper, we've always chosen a different path: be the most reliable, not the biggest.
But what we're most proud of
is simply being reliable — every time.
That's the standard we hold ourselves to — and we plan to keep it that way for generations.
